Thomas Karimundackal, SJ is professor of Sacred Scripture and teaches biblical exegesis, biblical theology and biblical languages at the Faculty of Theology, Jnana Deepa, Pontifical Athenaeum of Philosophy and Theology, Pune. He is the editor of Jnanadeepa: Pune Journal of Religious StudiesAUC Asian Journal of Religious Studies, founder and editor of Wisdom Research Series(WRS). He has authored/edited 18 books, published research articles in various national and international journals and periodicals, and presented papers at national and international conferences. He is also a visiting faculty member in various major seminaries and colleges in India and abroad. He holds a Masters degree in Chemistry (MSc) from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, and Counselling Psychology (MSc) from Singhania University, Jhunjhunu, Licentiate in Sacred Scripture (SSL) from the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome, and a Doctorate in the Old Testament (PhD) from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Besides being a formator at the Papal Seminary, Pune, he is involved in laity formation programmes in India and abroad.
