In this work, Rev. Dr. James Sundar Raj SDB explores Brahmanubhava -the experiential knowledge of God - through Ramanujas Visistadvaita. Blending philosophy and religion, he shows how rational inquiry deepens faith, offering authentic ways of encountering God amid Indias diverse and challenging contemporary context.

Rev. Dr. James Sundar Chidambaram SDB is a Catholic priest of the Salesians of Don Bosco, ordained in 2015. He holds degrees in Philosophy (B.Ph., M.Ph.), English (B.A.), and Theology (B.Th.), and earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Bengaluru, in 2024. Over the years, he has served as lecturer, liturgical animator, administrator, and director in various Salesian institutions, and currently serves as Principal and Dean of the Jnanodaya Salesian Institute of Philosophy, Yercaud.

His pastoral ministry has embraced parishes, boys homes, and social outreach foundations, reflecting his commitment to education and service. A prolific writer, he has published numerous research articles on Indian philosophy, interreligious dialogue, and education. He has presented papers at national symposia, moderated academic sessions, and preached retreats for religious congregations. This doctoral research book marks his first major publication, bringing together his scholarly depth and pastoral experience.
